A RESOLUTION APPROVING A RENEWED AGREEMENT WITH TRAUMA INTERVENTION PROGRAMS, INC. “TIP” FOR ON-SCENE EMOTIONAL AND PRACTICAL SUPPORT TO VICTIMS AND BYSTANDERS OF TRAUMATIC EVENTS; AUTHORIZING THE BOISE POLICE AND FIRE DEPARTMENTS TO PROVIDE FUNDS BUDGETED FOR THE AGREEMENT; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO RESPECTIVELY EXECUTE AND ATTEST SAID AGREEMENT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Body

              WHEREAS, City of Boise, along with City of Meridian and Ada County, desire better attention, care, and services to be provided to the victims and bystanders of accidents and traumatic events; and,

 

WHEREAS, “TIP” is able to provide services which include on-scene emotional and practical support to the victims and bystanders of traumatic events; and,

 

WHEREAS, by and through this Agreement the citizens of Boise will continue to be better served during traumatic events.

 

                            NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOISE CITY, IDAHO:

 

              Section 1.    That the “TIP” Agreement, attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, be, and the same is hereby, approved as to both form and content.

 

              Section 2.              That the Boise Police and Fire Departments are hereby authorized to provide funds budgeted for this agreement.

 

Section 3.              That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to respectively execute and attest said “TIP” Agreement for and on behalf of the City of Boise City.

 

              Section 4.              That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its adoption and approval.
