TO WOODLAWN AVE.; PROVIDING FOR A PARKING BY RESIDENTIAL PERMIT AND A ONE-HOUR TIME LIMIT FOR NON-RESIDENTS; DIRECTING THE PLACEMENT OF SIGNS BY BOISE CITY PARKING SERVICES; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Body

WHEREAS, the City of Boise, through its Parking Services Office, has received a request from area residents requesting the establishment of a Residential Parking Zone to include the area from the west side of Whitewater Park Boulevard to the east side of 29th Street, between the south side of Madison Avenue and the north side of Woodlawn Avenue; and

 

              WHEREAS, the Boise City Parking Services Office announced a public hearing on this matter through printed notices distributed on July 18 and 20, 2017, in the affected neighborhood, and a legal advertisement placed in the Idaho Statesman on July 12, 2017, and such public hearing was held on July 25, 2017, thus providing notification as required by Boise City Code Section 10-11-19(B); and

 

WHEREAS, the Boise City Parking Services Office considered all of the feedback provided at the public meeting held July 25, 2017, and based on that feedback recommends approval of this request and implementation of the Residential Parking Zones and this parking permit program be ratified by the Mayor and City Council.

 

              NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOISE CITY, IDAHO:

 

Section 1. The recommendation of the Boise City Parking Services Office is hereby ratified and ordered that a Residential Parking Zone be created for the area from west side of Whitewater Park Boulevard to the east side of 29th Street, between the south side of Madison Avenue and the north side of Woodlawn Avenue.

 

              Section 2.  The Residential Parking Zone shall be designated a one-hour parking time zone for all non-residents.

 

              Section 3.  The Boise City Parking Services Office is hereby directed to place the appropriate signage in the designated area.

 

Section 4.  This Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its adoption and approval.
